Recreation Activities
Proof of Residency Policy: Avon Recreation reserves the right to request proof of residency at the time of registration. Please have available an Avon tax bill, water/sewer bill or lease along with your driver's license when signing up for summer activities.
Refund Policy: There are no cash refunds or credits issued for recreation activities.

Fall Sign-ups
Grades K-8 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.:

Avon Municipal Building Conference Room

Practice Begins the 2nd week November.
2009 Fall Sports and Events
Fall Soccer
The towns of Belmar, Avon and Lake Como combine players to provide an 8-game fall soccer program for boys and girls in 2nd through 8th grade. Players are drafted onto teams in appropriate age groups. The teams are headed by volunteer coaches. Games are played on Saturdays during September and October. Signups occur in the spring and practices begin during late summer.
Clinics for kindergarten and first grade will begin on Saturday, September 12. Our last scheduled clinic is Saturday, October 31. All clinics are 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Avon field; cleats and shin guards are recommended, but not required.
Division II (Grades 2-4) and Division I (Grades 5-8) games begin in mid-September. Division I and II players will be contacted in mid-August regarding team rosters and coaches. Registration fee is $35 per child. Volunteer coaches are needed.

Soccer Awards Night
The date for Div 2 (Grades 2-4) will be: TBD. The date for Div 1 (Grades 5-8) will be: TBD.
Basketball
Registration fee is $35 (shirt included). All clinics will commence on Saturday, January 2, 2009 in the Avon Municipal Gym, as follows:
 Times Age Group
   8:00 – 9:00 AM

Kindergarten (Boys and Girls)
   9:00 – 10:00 AM Grade 1 and 2 Girls
   10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Grade 1 and 2 Boys
Grades 3 through 8 practices will commence the second week of November in the Avon Municipal Gym. Games will commence in mid December (date to be confirmed). A Coaches’ meeting is set for Tuesday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Gym Conference Room. Anyone interested in coaching, please plan to attend.
