| The
Avon Recreation Department provides
recreation services for the children
of the Borough of Avon, as well as
Avon Elementary School tuition students.
Some of the activities include soccer
leagues in the fall, basketball leagues
in the winter, baseball and softball
leagues in the spring, and Tennis
lessons, Surf Camp, and Sewing Class
in the summer. |

| The
department also runs the Leisure Citizens,
and organizes the annual Golf Outing,
Raft Race, Halloween Party, after
school Art Program, and Holiday Tree
Lighting event. |

will be held at the Avon Municipal
Gym on the following dates for ALL
Fall/Winter and basketball: |

Oct. 15th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. |

Oct. 19th, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. |
| Proof
of Residency Policy: Avon Recreation
reserves the right to request proof
of residency at the time of registration.
Please have available an Avon tax
bill, water/sewer bill or lease along
with your driver's license when signing
up for summer activities. |

Policy: There are no cash refunds
or credits issued for recreation activities. |

for our Halloween and Holiday events. Please
contact the Recreation Department if interested. |

Fall & Winter Activities and Programs |
| Fashion
Workshop |
| A
6-week after school program for Grades K
through 8. Classes are scheduled on Monday,
November 2, 9, 16, 30 and December 7 and
14 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Avon Elementary
School. Registration fee is $60 and there
is a 30 student maximum. |
| Halloween
Party |
| Saturday,
October 31st at 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal
Building. All residents are invited to enjoy
refreshments and costume and pumpkin carving
contests. Bring your carved pumpkin to the
Municipal Building by 5:00 p.m. on 10/31
for judging at the party (battery operated
candles only, no exceptions). Recreation
is seeking Halloween decoration donations |

Tree Lighting |
| Sunday,
December 6th – Puppet Show in the
Municipal Gym at 4:00 pm, tree lighting
on the front lawn at 5:00 p.m. and a festive
reception with hayrides, food, music and
a host of fun activities. |

House Decorating Contest |
| Monday,
December 14th at 5pm – get out those
decorations and get busy! |

Comes to Avon |
| Wednesday,
December 23rd with the help of the Avon
Fire Dept. starting at 5pm. |

| Weekly
Wednesday Socials: in the Municipal
Building include your choice of Bingo, Rumikub,
join a group for cards, or bring a game.
Share refreshments and time with your “Leisure”
neighbors 12:00 noon to 3:30pm, September
through May. |

12:00noon to 3:30pm in the Municipal Building.
