Our Boardwalk Main Street
Start at either Norwood Avenue or Shark River to enjoy a stroll down our 1/2 mile boardwalk. Visited by over 40,000 people year round come down and find out why Avon-by-the-Sea has been attracting beachgoers for over 100 years. Shark River Inlet Sylvan Lake
Bordering Avon the Inlet covers approximately 7/10 of a mile and provides a passageway for party and personal boats. Fishing from the banks of the river can be most pleasurable all year round. At 1.2 miles in circumference Sylvan Lake not only serves as the home to a variety of wildlife and fresh water fish but also serves as a tranquil oasis for residents and visitors alike.
