| The
Boro of Avon-by-the-Sea is unique in that
it is blessed with a very large corps of
volunteers. Our Fire Department is staffed
with 50+ members that provide for the safety
and well-being of our residents and visitors
in terms of fire, weather threats and general
emergencies twenty-four hours a day. The
First Aid and Safety Squad has a roster
of 30+ highly trained men and women who
respond day and night to any and all requests
for assistance of medical need and provides
support to the Fire Department with all
alarms. It is of special note that both
of our emergency units assist and support
the needs of the surrounding communities
on a regular basis. Both the First Aid Squad
and Fire Department encourage new volunteers
and provide all the training necessary to
be a successful and contributing member. |
