Mahon resides at 429 Jefferson
Avenue with his wife Eileen,
they have been members of the
community since 1967. He has
been a member of the Planning
Board for twenty-four years
and served on the boardwalk
restoration committee in 1993.
Bob retired from the Ocean Township
School System, where he served
as superintendent of schools
from 1974 - 1995. He is currently
the interim superintendent of
the Colts Neck School District. |

McGovern resides at 407 Ocean
Avenue with his wife Margaret
and have been full time residents
of this community since 1992.
He was a planning board member
from 1997 to 2003. Bob has devoted
time to Avon recreation for
14 years, helping with the Avon
Golf Outing. His career started
in 1963 at C.J. Devine &
Co. as a Government Security
Specialist, later to become
a director at Thomson McKinnon
Securities Inc. and an Executive
Committee Member of the P.S.A. |

Frank
Gorman resides at 501 Sylvania
Avenue with Sharon, his wife
of 14 years. Born March 16,
1965 and raised in Manhattan,
Frank Gorman summered in Avon
before permanently relocating
here in 1986. A life member
of the Avon Fire Department,
he has provided over 20 years
of volunteer service to the
community, and served two years
as fire chief. He is also a
life member of the New Jersey
State Firemen's Relief Association.
Frank also served two years
as a member of the Borough's
Planning Board (1993 –
1994).
Upon his 1987 graduation from
Fordham University, Frank accepted
full time employment at NJ TRANSIT,
where he had previously interned
since 1983. He is currently
a Manager of Fare Collection
and Point of Sale Systems for
NJ TRANSIT in Newark, NJ.
Gorman is also a member of the
US Coast Guard Reserve, attached
to Coast Guard Sector New York,
holding the rank of Master Chief
Petty Officer (E-9). Recalled
to active duty on September
11, 2001, and again in 2003
and 2006, he has served a total
of 50 months on active duty
during three activations in
support of the Global War on
Terrorism. He is a life member
of USCG Chief Petty Officers
Association (CPOA), former President
of the Kleckner Chapter NY Area
CPOA; and holds membership in
the American Legion and Fleet
Reserve Association. |

| Timothy
Gallagher was born in 1950 at
Fitkin Hospital in Neptune.
A lifelong resident of Avon-By-The-Sea,
he graduated from Avon Grammar
School, CBA and Villanova University.
He has been beach supervisor
and chief lifeguard, now serving
as Borough Administrator and
Clerk. He has served as a line
officer of the Avon First Aid
Squad for the past 15 years,
serving as Captain for 6 years.
He has been involved in scouting
since 1961, and has been the
scoutmaster of Troop #89 since
1985. He and Bill Herbert were
the first Eagle Scouts from
Troop 89. He is married to Elise
and has two children, Matthew
and Edith. |
